The maps and charts in this chapter put their focus on the concentration ("agglomeration") of people in cities and urban areas. This is due to the fact that high speed ground transportation systems (HST's) are mainly built as inter-city-transport modes and sometimes to connect cities with their respective airports. Similarily, Urban Maglev Systems also are economically feasible in urban areas only.
