The 27th International Conference on Magnetically Levitated Systems and Linear Drives (MAGLEV 2026) will be held in Qingdao, China, from October 14 to October 18, 2026. With the theme "Advancing Maglev Technology Innovation for Global Sustainable Development", the conference will focus on cutting-edge research, engineering applications, and industrial integration in maglev systems and linear drive technologies. It will cover key areas such as maglev technological research and development, maglev projects and implementations, as well as sustainability assessments and societal impacts of maglev and competing technologies. The conference aims to provide a platform for in-depth dialogue and collaboration among global scholars, engineers, and industry professionals, jointly advancing the scientific, standardized, and international development of maglev technology.

2. 大会主旨报告邀请（Invitation to Plenary Reports）
The conference plans to arrange 6 plenary reports, focusing on showcasing the cutting-edge international technologies and engineering application achievements in the maglev field. It is intended to invite Prof. Hiroyuki Ohsaki to deliver a report themed "Development and Engineering Application Progress of Japanese High-Speed Maglev Technology", Dr. Ding Sansan to deliver a report themed "Strategic Breakthroughs of China's High-Speed Maglev from Technological Research to Engineering Practice", Prof. Sergei Smirnov to deliver a report themed "Research and Application Progress of Freight Maglev Technology", Expert Liang Xiao to deliver a report themed "Research and Commercial Application of China's Rapid Maglev Technology", Dr. Friedrich loeser to deliver a report themed "Electromagnetic Levitation and Long-Stator Linear Motor Drive Systems: Past, Present and Future", and Expert Hu Xuhong to deliver a report themed "Research on China's High-Speed Maglev Line Planning and Development". At present, preparations are being made to send invitation letters to the distinguished experts and further confirm the details of the report topics.
3. 大会专题论坛策划（Planning of Special Forums）
The themes of the parallel forums of this conference are basically consistent with the three core directions of previous International Maglev Conferences. It is planned to set up a total of 12 special parallel forums, mainly covering key fields such as suspension and guidance technology, linear drive control, maglev technology expansion, advanced on-board power supply, dynamics, aerodynamics, system integration design, line and track design, demonstration operation, intelligent operation and maintenance, vacuum pipelines, policies and industries. The conference plans to arrange 30 invited technical reports and will invite internationally renowned experts to serve as chairs of each parallel forum. At present, the confirmation work of the invited experts and parallel forum chairs is being steadily promoted.
4. 其他会议会务筹备（Preparation of Other Conference Affairs）
The conference plans to set up 1 main venue and 5 parallel venues. At present, comprehensive coordination with the conference hotel has been completed, the venue specifications, capacity and supporting professional facilities of the main venue and parallel venues have been initially confirmed, and the core conference logistics support matters such as diversified catering supply and convenient transportation connection have been clarified. Meanwhile, the foreign affairs registration work is advancing in an orderly manner. In strict accordance with the latest requirements for holding international conferences in China in 2026, the relevant approval work including foreign affairs registration, document submission and risk assessment is being carried out in a standardized manner to ensure that all processes are compliant and orderly.
