Hmmm. I can't see much perspective here. If it is prop drive, maybe magnetic bearings are an option.
What prospects do you see since you ask this question?

similar to that for an aircraft - at least take-off.

The acceleration forces would be strong. Would that be flying cars only for athletes and young people? Could be a bit of a hassle touring grandpa and grandma if they need to be resuscitated already right after take off.

Won't the forces be only as much as they are without maglev, like in the shared video?
Thanks & Best regards.

Yes, it could be slow/little forces - but then what would be the real advantage of using Maglev? That would be a rather undramatic field of application, not a real breakthrough with relevant advantages. Or how do you see it? Am I missing something?

Well, I think you are not missing anything based on what I wrote. I am also still assessing my views on the alternatives that are being pursued(futuristic and sustainable transport - flying cars too), and their pros and cons. But somehow I think these cars, or similar ones dedicated to intercity travel - say, all electric ones, would most likely use dedicated and physically secured/isolated strips for take off and landing. More likely that it might be a better model. So, e.g. it will work like a mini airport, with many such air taxis. Now, if we have a specialized place then we can probably use maglev also - horizontal (or ramp?). Besides, for helicopter kind of models probably a vertical maglev may be possible to use. In electrified take off and landing(different mechanism?) it may be possible to harvest the landing energy also, although it is just an idea. Take off and landing power if external to the craft may reduce the battery size needed for a given journey. May be undramatic and ofc not a breakthrough, but still could be one of the possible options.

PS:

1. maglevaero.com (working on an electric VTOL platform). There are others too.
