In February, the TSB (TransportSystemBögl) reached a top speed of 169 km/h.
This speed is 19 km/h above the native design speed of the system. Theoretically, TSB is able to reach at least 175 km/h. This is because of a german law that requires train manufactures to design their system to reach at least 10% above the native design speed.
This speed was achieved on the TSB track in Chengdu. An official Chinese press report published by the operating company of the track (Xinzhu Road and Bridge Machinery Co) also reveals that there are plans to extend the track to 4.5 km length. Currently, it is 3.5 km long.
