During the festival, experts discussed how to make transport in a city like Hamburg innovative, sustainable and efficient and the maglev train "Transportsystem Bögl". The system is comparable to autonomous transport systems or cable cars and can be set up quickly and cost-effectively. As part of the "Metropolitan Region Mobility" concept, various mobility concepts are being tested in Hamburg on road and rail as well as on water and in the air. Another project is HVV-Switch, which bundles sharing and on-demand services in one app to provide even more public transport. Yet another project, ITS Cube, prioritises buses in road traffic through intelligent technologies. Around 68 per cent of all journeys in Hamburg are now done on public transport, by bicycle or on foot and reflect the progress of the mobility transition.
