JR Tokai to increase Maglev investment by 3% to 350 billion yen in FY2024.
JR Tokai announced its capital expenditure plan for 2024 on 28 March 2024. The linear central Shinkansen Maglev line being built between Tokyo/Shinagawa and Nagoya will require an investment of 350 billion yen, an increase of 3% from the figure planned for FY23.
Land acquisition and tunnel construction will continue, as will the construction of maglev vehicle stock depots in Kanagawa and Gifu prefectures.
