JR Tokai has applied for a trademark for a pictogram design related to the Linear Chuo Shinkansen, which the company is currently constructing. The design, which was submitted to the Japan Patent Office, is believed to depict an improved model of the L0 series test vehicle, appearing as if it is floating. This pictogram might be used in station signage and other related displays.

The design is a frontal view of the vehicle, featuring a distinctive U-shaped "guideway" on the sides and bottom, representing the tracks, a feature not present in traditional Shinkansen pictograms. JR Tokai has confirmed that this design is not yet in use, and they are still deciding on how it will be utilized in the future.
Earlier this year, in March, JR Tokai announced that they would not be able to meet their goal of opening the Shinagawa-Nagoya section of the Linear Chuo Shinkansen by 2027. There is also a possibility that the vehicle's design might change before the eventual launch of the service.
