Mie Prefecture Sets Up 'Linear Propulsion Headquarters' to Evaluate Potential Station Sites
On February 8, 2022, the Mie Prefectural Government established a "Headquarters for Linear Propulsion" in the prefectural office, headed by Governor Katsuyuki Iku.
The task force will evaluate three potential sites proposed by Kameyama City for a station in the prefecture on the linear central maglev linking Tokyo and Osaka, and promote regional development using the linear line. The headquarters will consist of

- the director of the strategic planning division,
- the director of the regional cooperation division, and
- the director of the prefectural land development division.
