maglev opening delayed "estimate losses," governor demands JR Tokai / Mie
On 24 October, Governor Katsuyuki Ichimi said he would like JR Tokai to "calculate how much economic loss will be caused to Japan" by the expected delay in the opening of the Tokyo-Nagoya linear maglev line from 2027, and asked the company to make a trial calculation. On the same day, he addressed a general meeting of the Prefectural Alliance to Promote Linear Maglev Construction in Tsu City, which comprises the prefectural government and municipalities.
