JR Central and Nara Prefecture Collaborate on Tourism Promotion Maglev Video Series
JR Central announced that it will begin distributing a video series in collaboration with Nara Prefecture to promote tourism. When the Chūō Shinkansen (Linear Maglev) fully opens to Osaka, a new station will be built in Nara. This initiative aims to strengthen cooperation with local governments along the route and enhance the appeal of the area.
The video series will consist of six episodes, with each episode featuring a different tourism spot in Nara, presented in a drama-style format. The series will be released on both JR Central’s and Nara Prefecture’s official social media accounts starting December 22.
The Chūō Shinkansen (Maglev) is currently under construction between Tokyo (Shinagawa) and Nagoya, with plans to extend it to Osaka. Once completed, the new station in Nara is expected to boost local tourism, helping to further develop the region’s economy.
