Tube - Steel (why not RCC?)

Hi all,
So, why RCC/reinforced concrete(PS) is not of interest as MOC for the tube? Also, can 3D printing help improve the acceptability of reinforced concrete?
RCC might also have better strength in compression (external pressure, vacuum inside). If accidental debris is a possible concern, a thinner steel tube may still be used.
Faster construction, reparability, reliability of construction(leakages, joints), lower side strength(weight of sections) - tension more important criteria, what exactly?
Thanks.
