'Hyperloop tests with passengers realistic by 2030’ – Hardt director on breakthroughs and scepticism
quote]Dutch company Hardt Hyperloop has once again achieved a series of breakthroughs: the vehicle has become lighter, faster and more stable. Thanks in part to ‘help’ from perhaps a unexpected source – the electric car industry – hyperloop has become more realistic in recent years. Nevertheless, director
Roel van de Pas emphasises that technology is only part of the story. Without European standardisation and a joint full-scale test facility, the future of hyperloop remains uncertain. “Hyperloop either exists as a multi-vendor marketplace or not at all.”[/quote]

Hardt Hyperloop tested lane-switching in a vacuum tube
Dutch Hyperloop firm Hardt Hyperloop has completed lane-changing within a vacuum tube successfully and validates the scalability of their technology and their eventual achievement of speeds of up to 700 km/h in the next few years.
The trial occurred at Veendam on a 420-meter track. The maglev car accelerated to 85 km/h in 140 meters, then ran through a 155-meter lane-switching course and braked to a halt at the final 100 meters.

The company states that within the past year alone, engineers performed over 750 tests
. Engineers attained a 45% weight reduction in the cart, a 50% increase in traction power, and integration of the propulsion system with magnetic guidance. The upgrades increased system reliability and stability. [...] The next is to set up a 3–5 km long demo route. Then the company will deploy a commercial up to 50 km long line to be utilized as the base for deployment.
