XTI Aerospace Collaborates with MagLev Aero on Transformational Electric Propulsion System

Englewood, CO & Boston, MA – July 3, 2025 – XTI Aerospace, Inc. (NASDAQ: XTIA), an emerging leader in advanced hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing (xVTOL) aircraft, today announced a strategic collaboration with MagLev Aero Inc., a pioneering company in magnetic levitation-based aviation propulsion.

Under a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), XTI will explore integrating MagLev Aero’s revolutionary HyperDrive™ propulsion system—featuring magnetically levitated, tip-driven ducted fans—into its unmanned and hybrid-electric aircraft platforms.
Transformational Technology

MagLev Aero’s HyperDrive™ system uses magnetic levitation to eliminate traditional friction and mechanical wear, enabling quieter, more efficient, and lower-maintenance propulsion. This is the first known application of maglev technology in operational aircraft design. The system is scalable and adaptable across a wide range of aircraft sizes and missions.

XTI will assess HyperDrive’s potential for improving speed, range, reliability, and vertical lift performance, while also drastically reducing noise—key benefits for both military and commercial drone operations.
Initial Pre-Order and Evaluation

The MoU includes a non-binding pre-order for up to 100 HyperDrive units, contingent upon successful technical evaluation, integration feasibility, and final commercial terms. This agreement supports both companies’ shared mission to advance the state of electric aviation.
