The Japanese SC maglev will never be able to be sold as is because it is uneconomical without having an overnight container train to reduce the daytime fare below planes in big countries.
It would need an international guideway showcased between Sydney and Melbourne designed by China with greater experience in tunnels, Japan with greater experience in SC maglev and America with greater innovation.
It may perhaps reduce tensions so we can work on climate change.
