October 17 marked twelve years since the Linear Chūō Shinkansen's construction was approved in October 2014 for the Nagoya–Shinagawa section. Construction at the Chūō Shinkansen Gifu Prefecture Station (provisional name) site in Sendabira, Nakatsugawa City—which began full-scale work in June 2022—is progressing steadily, and the prefecture's new gateway is beginning to take shape.

Key details:
Under JR Central's plan, the station will be approximately 1,260 meters long, in a two-story structure: the passenger platform level at about 15 meters above ground, with the train return (turnback) tracks running at 26 meters high.

The gallery's aerial and ground photographs show: the station structure rising parallel to the JR Chūō Line; the dense steel rebar reinforcement of the rigid-frame (rahmen) viaducts for the main and return lines; the main line tunnel portal in the distance; and the site of a JR Chūō Line road bridge (overpass) to be relocated as part of the station works, as viewed from a viewing platform near the Komaba Tunnel at the eastern end of the site.
