Actually, the guideway used on the Chengdu test line was made in Germany and shipped to Chengdu via conventional rail.
The TSB vehicle (2nd Generation) was made in Germany too, but it was shipped to China with an Antonov airplane.
This is very different from the strategy practiced at SMT line, where the guideway was designed and developed by a consortium together with Max Bögl but made in China (under license of course) to save costs.
