Opening of GoTube at the Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences

The Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences invites you to the inauguration of its Hyperloop test track.

The university is proud to host a significant milestone in the history of its research on Hyperloop technology. A special event is scheduled for Thursday, May 23, starting at 2:30 PM. On the university campus in Emden, in the presence of Falko Mohrs, the Lower Saxony Minister for Science and Culture, the test track, known as GoTube, will be officially opened.

Concurrent with the ceremonial inauguration, the closing conference of the EU project ePIcenter will take place at the university from the morning. Over the past years, the consortium has been exploring the technological and operational possibilities to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of global supply chains. The goal is to build more resilient supply chains using digital solutions and enable all stakeholders in global trade and international authorities to respond to unforeseen situations and market changes while simultaneously reducing emissions from transport.

The official program on the GoTube will commence in the afternoon. Starting at 2:30 PM, the university’s Institute for Hyperloop Technology team will provide an introduction to the topics of Hyperloop and GoTube. Following this, attendees can visit an exhibition in the university’s FabLab and participate in laboratory tours.

At 5:00 PM, Minister Falko Mohrs will officially open the test track. An reception in the exhibition area is planned afterward.
