Kofu City, Yamanashi Chuo Bank, and Yamanashi Chiiki Design, a group company of the bank, signed a comprehensive partnership agreement on August 17 to further promote regional revitalization ahead of the opening of the Chuo Shinkansen maglev line.
The agreement covers broad areas including urban development, tourism promotion, attracting companies, and employment promotion. A particular focus is town development around the future Linear Yamanashi Prefecture Station and revitalization of the city center, with the aim of solving local issues and increasing the value of the region.
Yamanashi Chuo Bank President Yoshiaki Furuya said: “[Translated quote] I believe there is an effect in which the three parties—the bank, the trading company, and Kofu City—combine their strengths together to create value.”
The three parties will use their respective expertise and networks to create new businesses and tourism content while promoting regional revitalization.
