Linear Chuo Shinkansen "Kanagawa Prefecture Station (provisional name)" to Host "Sagamihara Linear Festa 2025"! / Kanagawa Prefecture
Kanagawa Prefecture is promoting cultural and artistic initiatives to create a lively atmosphere at the construction site of the Linear Chuo Shinkansen "Kanagawa Prefecture Station (provisional name)" in Sagamihara City, Midori Ward, until the station opens. In collaboration with Sagamihara City and Central Japan Railway Company (JR Tokai), we are pleased to announce the "Sagamihara Linear Festa 2025" event, which will feature music, dance, and other enjoyable performances.
1. Event Dates and Times
Saturday, October 25, 2025: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Sunday, October 26, 2025: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
(In case of rain, the event will be canceled, but it may proceed in light rain with adjustments to the program.)
2. Location
At the construction site of the Linear Chuo Shinkansen "Kanagawa Prefecture Station (provisional name)" (2-chome, Hashimoto, Midori Ward, Sagamihara City)

(1) Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 25 at 1:20 PM, featuring a greeting from the organizers, a performance by the Sagamihara Yaei High School Wind Ensemble, and the premiere of a cultural arts promotion video showcasing the use of the construction site, starring Kanagawa Prefecture’s Tourism Ambassador and ballet dancer Mizuka Ueno.
Expected attendees include:
Kanagawa Prefecture Governor, Yuji Kuroiwa
Sagamihara City Mayor, Kentaro Motomura
President of Central Japan Railway Company (JR Tokai), Shunsuke Niwa
(2) Underground Concert by Kanagawa Prefectural Hall
On Saturday, October 25, the underground stage will be specially lit after sunset for an underground concert, "Kanagawa Prefectural Hall presents Underground Symphony – Echoes of The Earth," featuring trombone performances and singing.
(Note: For safety reasons, attendees will not be able to enter the underground area.)
(3) Performances on Special Stages at the Construction Site
Special stages set up at the construction site above ground will host performances, including a special live by an idol group and performances by local groups.
Expected performers include:
Maison de Queen (idol group)
N.U. (acoustic duo)
Shunya Kobayashi (singer-songwriter)
NoLogic (double-dutch team)
Escola de Samba Sauje (Samba group) and more
(4) Exhibition Booths
JR Tokai, local organizations, and businesses will have booths at the event. There will also be robot experience exhibitions from the Sagami Robot Industry Special Zone (Robot Business Exchange Hub FUN+TECH LABO) and the Sagamihara Robot Business Council, as well as displays about the town development and green zone PR around Hashimoto Station.
(5) Food Trucks
Local food trucks will be available offering a variety of food and beverages.
4. Admission Information
Admission is free. However, to help manage the crowd and estimate the number of visitors, pre-registration through an application form is requested. For more details on how to register, please check the Prefecture's website. Registration via phone or mail is not accepted.
(If you arrive without prior registration, you can still attend by filling out the application form at the on-site registration desk.)
5. Media Coverage
A press briefing with the Governor, Sagamihara City Mayor, and JR Tokai President will take place at the venue around 2:20 PM on Saturday, October 25. Coverage of the "Next-Generation Solar Battery Demonstration Start Ceremony at FUN+TECH LABO" is also available. (For more details, refer to the "Reference" section.)

Program details and performers may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
For safety reasons, please wear comfortable shoes such as sneakers.
